Among the many things I like are flying a small plane and traveling with my wife. There is lots of information here on both subjects plus a smattering of info on other things. This page was created and is maintained just for fun. However, I hope you find something entertaining or helpful here.
The buttons at the top of every page will start you on your journey through some of the subjects close to my heart. If you don't see buttons right under the blue banner, check to make sure your browser's security settings are not blocking ActiveX controls as this page makes a lot of use of Javascripts, etc.
Be forewarned that I've put some music on some of my travel pages. Personally, I think it makes them a bit more interesting but I know not everyone shares that view so I've also put some audio controls near the top of the page so you can stop the music.

I’ve always been fascinated by airplanes but I never realized that my fascination was anything out of the ordinary; only as an adult did I discover that not everyone shared my enthusiasm. It never really occurred to me that I could fly as it always seemed a rich man's pastime and I'm certainly not rich. If it weren’t for my late friend, Jim Richardson, flying would have remained for me only a dream. Though he and I had discussed his love of flying many times, it was on a sunny Monday in May, 1995 that Jim convinced me that I, too, could be a pilot. I bought my airplane on my 50th birthday, having gotten my private pilot's license less than two weeks earlier. I still love flying though, sadly, I don't fly as much as I'd like. Among the information that you'll find here is a lot that will be of interest to newbees.
My other passion is travel. While my wife and I have traveled perhaps a bit more than many people, there's a lot of world left and not enough of either time nor money to see it. On some of our trips, I've kept diaries and I've posted them here. On others, I didn't get around to keeping a diary but you may find some pictures and a little bit of text. If you're planning a trip to one of the places we've visited, you may get something out of reading of our experiences. Be forewarned, though... I tend to be more than a bit opinionated and what you'll read is my unblemished opinion, right or wrong.
